Price Hikes from Tariffs Making It Easier to Stay Under $2000

Disabled Americans, who have been living in lavish excess for the past few years, are relieved at the recent implementation of President Trump’s tariffs.

The Trump administration’s radical tariffs will benefit disabled Americans who are struggling to remain under the $2000 SSI income cap. The cost of living is expected to skyrocket soon, and SSI recipients look forward to fewer trips to the grocery store, the gas station and essential medical appointments.

“I’ve had so much extra money every month,” said disabled American Molly Hanson, calculating her new budget. “It was a pain to come up with luxuries to buy just so I could collect SSI. I won’t have to worry about that any longer.”

Some critics have gently pointed out the potential trade war, global market crash and recession as possible drawbacks. However, most recognize that these unfortunate minor setbacks are worth it. This is yet another victory for the Trump administration that will contribute to its stellar reputation of defending and advancing disability rights.

“We believe these tariffs will grant every American the economic freedom to remain barely surviving,” read a heavily edited press release from the White House.

A few disabled Americans are hopeful that President Trump will eliminate SSI entirely and make the $2000 cap obsolete.
