Recently Paralyzed Libertarian Fights for Local Business’s Right to Deny Him Entry

Craig Anderson, 47, was tragically paralyzed in a car accident three months ago, but he hasn’t let that slow him down. In fact, he’s managed to maintain his activism as a member of the Libertarian Party for close to three decades. He has been a frequent keynote speaker at local rallies and on the front lines of many protests. And after his accident, things got personal.

When he found out a small local business had to temporarily close and subsequently renovate to comply with regulations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, to which the business in question has been resistant, he sprang into action: He simply could not let the state infringe on the right of a private business to deny him entry!

“This business is not a magical land full of happiness, sunshine and rainbows meant to satisfy every whim of the public! It is a private company! And it is basic freedom of commerce for a company to tell me and others like me to f*ck off because including us is too expensive!” Anderson said in a post on Facebook.

In a local news report about the business, he doubled down, stating, “Life isn’t fair, and I’ll be damned if a bunch of commies make it fair, no matter how inconvenient it is for me.”

Anderson is adamant that the principles of the free market must be prioritized over that of any personal advantages he might receive as a result of ADA compliance.

“I don’t want to be treated any differently because I’m disabled!” he said, adding that the laws of supply and demand must screw over as many people as necessary in service of laissez-faire capitalism.

At press time, Anderson was seen bitching about the amount on a bill for his physical therapy, charged under an insurance system he steadfastly champions.
