Autistic individuals often have great pattern recognition. So, yeah, we had a feeling that *all this* was going to happen, Aunt Sheila! “Those who don’t learn history are doomed to repeat it,” right?
Unfortunately for me, like many autistic people, I have extremely high critical thinking pattern recognition skills combined with a need to learn as much history as humanly possible. So when the 2016 presidential election looked like a clown car, my pattern alarm started BLARING!
Now that everyone else is panicking too, the least the government could do is just make Xanax free. If I’m getting my Medicaid cut, I should at least be able to reflect upon my lack of healthcare while tripping in space. We tried to raise awareness of the impending chaos, but at this point, just slide me some free unawareness candy since my grippy-sock vacation isn’t covered anymore!
We’ve been telling you that this was troubling ever since our homie Serge Kovaleski was mocked. Then we really had a lot to say during the pandemic. We’re not shocked by the direction of fascism, because we have seen these patterns time and time again. Of course, we’re still going to fight it, but give me a break (Xanny) first!
