Faith Healer Caught in the Act of Seeing Doctor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Megachurch pastor Werly Harrison, who claims he can heal any disease or disability through faith in Christ, appeared in a recent viral video wearing a disguise in an oncologist’s waiting room.

“I was watching this guy sitting there with sunglasses on indoors and his hood pulled up,” said Jason Mitchell, who posted the video. “I noticed his nose and mustache were plastic and attached to the glasses. Then he smiled at me, and I recognized those veneers from the TikToks where he sells holy anointing oils.”

In the viral video, Mitchell asks if the man is Harrison, and the pastor bolts out of the room, knocking over the water cooler and sending the novelty glasses flying into the coffee cup of a screaming nurse.

Harrison has colon cancer, and has claimed for months he is treating the condition using only faith and prayer. But many suspect he is also using chemotherapy.

“He’s been wearing a lot of hats,” says Mitchell. “I think he’s bald.”

“My frail appearance and weight loss are not side effects of chemo,” said Harrison during a recent Sunday service, wearing a 10-gallon cowboy hat. “They’re the side effects of the Holy Spirit doing his work! God asked if I would give my eyebrows for a miracle, and I said ‘Yes Lord!’” The congregation erupted in cheers while Harrison bent over to throw up in a bucket.

“It pisses me off,” says Mitchell, “I know a guy who works at the church, and the pastor has Blue Cross Blue Shield.”

“The government makes us provide healthcare,” says church COO Brian Alderman. “But I don’t need it. I can talk to the world’s greatest doctor any time I want,” he said, pointing at the ceiling. The gesture exposed a hospital bracelet under his sleeve.

We reached Harrison on the phone and asked about the cancer treatment. He yelled, “Journalists like you are doing the work of Satan!”

“But send me the link when you publish so I can show donors you’re persecuting me,” he added. “They shell out big for that shit.”
