With an increasingly reactionary government and culture afflicting the United States, the rights of disabled people have naturally come into question — and disability protections are in jeopardy. Soon, the U.S. Supreme Court will rule on whether disabled people have the right to fun, joy, enrichment, and all the things that makes life worth living.
“After ruling that disabled people must forever be trapped in poverty — because screw them — we felt it only fitting to move to the next most pertinent issue: whether they have the right to even enjoy their pitiful lives! Because why wouldn’t we?” said an Associate Justice in a rare interview with the media.
The Chief Justice was also eager to share his supremely evil views on the welfare of disabled people.
“What we’ve created in the last 30-or-so years since the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act is a bitter, resentful property-owning class thrilled to enact revenge on defenseless disabled people for daring to ask nicely for dignity and consideration,” said the Chief Justice with a cackle.
“We played the long game, and we could not be prouder. They’re sitting ducks now. What are they going to do? Get up and fight for their right to party? I promise you: that song was not made with them in mind.”
Overhearing the conversation, another justice could not help but chime in: “These pathetic people want to…enjoy life? Who do they think they are? Us?”
The Squeaky Wheel had further questions, but with a swish of their robes, the justices exited with prejudice.
They need to volunteer at a special needs camp or special olympics and see just how much these things mean to these people!
